We are a mother and daughter who both love to write. We decided to start this blog so we could spend time together doing something
we both love and share it with you. We specialize in reviewing fun places to go and fun things to do, but we talk a little bit about everything.
We would love to hear your views too.

Our view: If you are looking for a show with a plot, this is is not it. If you just want to be entertained and have a few laughs, this show is a good choice. The show is made up of  a series of skits. Some of them are hilarious including ones involving the making of a cowboy movie and a lot of audience participation, and another involving a very inept magician.Others go on a bit long.  There is very little talking in the show. However, when there is talking, it is also funny including imitations of characters in The Wizard of Oz and a little bit of Abbott and Costello's classic Who's on First routine. There is a lot of singing in the show. Between skits, Shania Taub and her band entertain. She has a pretty voice and her songs are upbeat sounding and fun even if some of the lyrics aren't always as upbeat as the music. All in all, it's a fun and entertaining evening. If you want to go out and just have fun for an evening and not really think about anything this show is a good choice. Very young children would  probably be bored at this show as some of the skits might go on a bit long for them. Older children would probably enjoy it. However, just be aware that in one of the skits it is implied quite graphically  that a person has taken Viagra or a related product. However, of course, no actual body parts are shown or anything like that and if the child is young and innocent enough it will probably go right over their head. What: Fiddler on the Roof

Where: Broadway Theatre
             1681 Broadway
             New York, NY

Who: 10 and up
Our view: Fiddler on the Roof is arguably one of the most well-known shows of all-time. It is full of timeless songs including Matchmaker, If I Were a Rich Man, and To Life. This version of the show is entertaining. It is full of beautiful singing and energetic dancing. Danny Burstein as Tevye is like a big teddy bear, and he does particularly well in the softer moments of the show. Most of the rest of the cast is good to with a few exceptions. If you like big musicals, you will like this show, If you like shows about family you will like this show. If you like shows that are classics, you will like this show. It is not a good show for young children because there are a few scenes that may frighten them including a somewhat scary dream sequence. Anyone else should definitely see Fiddler on the Roof at least once in their life. For more information and/or to to find out how to order tickets go to http://fiddlermusical.com.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for another Talking Topic.
