I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Apps. , Web-Sites, and YouTube Channels: 1010 and Splash Math

Me - Today I am recommending 1010. It is like Tetris except your given three blocks on the bottom of the screen. You just keep trying to get them to fit. When one of the blocks on the bottom won't fit any more, than the game is over. It is a really fun game.

We were given a free year of Splash Math for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own based on our experience.
Mom- Today I am recommending Splash Math. Splash Math is a fun way for your kids to practice their math on-line.  It helps children to practice their math skills by playing fun games. My daughter uses it to practice her times tables. However, there are many other math skills that can be practiced using Splash Math. It is for kids from Kindergarten through fifth grade and includes different skill levels so kids don't have to get frustrated because it is too easy for them or too hard for them. It also helps you to keep track of how your child is doing because every week you receive a report of his or her progress. This is a much better way to see how your children are doing than standing over them while they are doing their math homework. Splash Math is available for your home computer, for the iPad, for the Chromebook, and even in a classroom edition. For more information  or to sign your child up go to https://www.splashmath.com/.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
