Books: The Eight Year Lie
Today we are talking about The Eight Year Lie by J.M. Hewitt. Jessica is rich, confident, and carefree, Louise aspires to be like her so she keeps information away from Jessica that would cause Jessica to leave her. That one act of betrayal sets Jessica's life on a downward spiral that pushes Jessica to the brink. While Louise's life only seems to be getting better and more like the life Jessica used to have. Louise is not the only one keeping secrets, however. While the story is intriguing and unpredictable. There aren't really any characters to root for in this story. They are all selfish and act only in their own best interest. Also, the end is less than satisfying. Overall, the book was somewhat disappointing.
And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
