We ride the bus to the City quite a lot. However, long bus or car rides can be boring. Lots of people stare at their computers, laptops, and/or phones the whole ride. However, here there are lots of ways to break up the monotony of travel without starring at a screen. Here are some of them.
1) Read - If you don't get a headache reading in a moving vehicle this is great time to catch up on your reading.
2) Listen to music - If you are on a bus, of course, headphones are necessary so as not to disturb the other passengers, but if you are in your own car and everyone agrees on what to listen to you can make a sing-along out of it. We usually take turns picking music.
3) Sleep - Some people actually sleep better in a moving vehicle if this applies to you this is a great time for a nap.
4) Play word games with your fellow passengers if you are in yourown car or with your companion if you are with someone you know on a bus, but keep it quiet on a bus so as not to disturb your fellow passengers.
5) Talk - When you are stuck in a car or a bus together that is a good time to talk although try not to discuss touchy subjects especially if you are on a public bus.
6) Have a snack - You are not really supposed to eat on a bus but if you are in your own car you can indulge.
7) Look out the Window - If you are traveling in an area where there is a nice view, you might just want to look out the window for a while.
What do you like to do that doesn't involve starring at a screen when you are traveling ?
Enjoy!
Tune in tomorrow for a Saturday Special.
