I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Glee Concert!

Me-Glee concert, wow! My Mom  and   I  recently went to the Glee Live tour for our second year  in  a  row. That  day was the best ever in my life!! Nothing will  ever, even come close! As soon as we have it on DVD, I will watch it every single day, with the TV blasting while I jump up and down, scream and sing the words to the songs (except  if  my  dad  is  napping]. I just loved everything about it. I love the singing, I loved the dancing, I loved seeing all the performers live, I loved everything. The only thing I didn't love was the opening act. On any other occasion I wouldn't have minded them. They were pretty good.  However, at the Glee concert all I wanted to see was the Glee cast singing and dancing not other people dancing. The rest of my thoughts about the concert are hard for me to put into words.

Mom - Last Friday, Melia and I went to the Glee Live concert together  for the second year in a row. Now, I love my daughter, and we have a lot good times together with or without other family member,. however, I can honestly say those Glee concerts are one of the best times we ever have together. It is so much fun just being there together and listening to that music and singing along. We all know the best part of Glee is the music anyway. This year they were filming the Glee Concert movie at the concert we attended in East Rutherford, New Jersey. At first, I thought that the cameras would be in the way and interfere with our enjoyment of the show. They actual were kind of in the way when we were sitting down. However, since we ended up on our feet for almost the whole concert clapping, dancing and singing along, it ended up not really being a problem. It was also exciting that they were filming the concert movie that night because Gwyneth Paltrow made one of her surprise appearances on the tour and sang "Forget You." which was a highlight of the show. I didn't like that as in any concert there is only so much time and therefore, only so many songs get sung so the more songs there are, the more songs you would like to hear live that they don't get to during the concert. At last year's concert, I loved every song they sang although even then there were songs I would have liked to hear live that they didn't get to, but not as many. However, I left the show last year feeling very satisfied. This year there were a few songs that I didn't actually like as much, and I felt like it was like they wanted to give everyone a chance to sing a solo. Everyone did except Quinn, Lauren, Mike, and Sam (the actors perform as their characters in the concert even as far as Artie, being in his wheel chair). Also, the Warblers sang three songs. I like the Warblers, and I like the songs they sang, but I felt like their singing three songs took song time away from New Directions, and I would have liked to hear New Directions sing more songs. Last year, Vocal Adrenaline was there, but that they only sang one song so that didn't take away as much time from New Directions.  I thought it would have been cool if the Warblers would have been the opening act instead of that dance group, who a lot of people seemed to like, but my daughter and I thought was boring. That way the Warblers could have sang a lot of songs and not taken away any time from New Directions. I liked the concert, but at the end I felt like there were so much more that I would have liked to have seen that they didn't do and maybe, it is just me or the fact that the Warblers took up some of New Directions time, but it seemed shorter overall then last year. Maybe, it is because last year, I loved every song, and this year I didn't. In any case, if there is another concert next year, Melia and I are definitely hoping to be there. In the meantime, we are watching The Glee Project (maybe we'll write more on that at another time), anxiously awaiting the release of the Glee Concert movie (it is so excited to us that when watch the movie and relive the concert at least some of it will actual be reliving the actual concert we were at) and anxiously awaiting the release of the Glee season 2 DVD. All of which, will hopefully take us through until the start of season three in the fall.

And that's our view. Tune in again for another topic.
