I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

The Circus

Me -In  the  Ringling   Brothers  and   Barnum and  Bailey Circus, my  favorite  part  was  the    tigers  and   elephants.  The  tigers  were  so  cute.  There   was  one  tiger  that  was  very  feisty  and  had  a  fight   with  the   tiger tamer. Two  of    the   tigers  were  white  with   light  orange  stripes. There   was  an  elephant   that  painted   a  picture. In  the  beginning,  you  could  enter  a raffle  right  before  the  circus  officially  started. Somebody  picked  a  name  and  the  winner   got  to keep  the  elephant's   painting.  One  of   the   elephants   had  a  beard   but   they  were  all  adorable.   There   were  tight  rope  walkers   acrobats   and  many  many   more.

Mom - The other week we went to the circus. Of course, I mean Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus. I mean there are other circuses, and I have even been to a few, some of them quite bad and some okay. However, there is no other circus like Ringling Brothers. They don't call it "The Greatest Show on Earth" for nothing. Of course, some things have changed about the circus. There are no longer three rings only one. When I was a kid,  you had to spin your circus own light, but the ones they sell now, you just push a button, and it spins itself. Circus lights were a lot smaller then too and not as fancy. They kind of looked like lighters on a string. In many other more important ways, however,  the circus hasn't changed that much at all. There are still clowns and acrobats and tightrope walkers. There still tigers, and elephants and horses. There is still the ringmaster in charge of it all. It is nice in a way that the circus my daughters see today is so much like the circus I saw when I was a kid. I mean everything changes so fast these days. It is nice that there are still some things that stay basically the same.

And that's our view. Tune in again for another topic.

  1. i am not a circus person but i want to see the movie "water for elephants" as i loved the book. i just don't know how i'll drag myself to a circus should the kids ever want to go. it all stems back to when i threw up a lot at a circus when i was a kid. and then they just bored me after that.
