I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Still More Theatre Saturday - The Z Team

We received complimentary tickets to The Z Team for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: The Z Team

Where: Theatre Row - Theatre Four
             410 W. 42nd St.
             New York, NY

Who: Recommended Ages for 13 Due to Mature Language and Adult Content

When: Through November 23. 2024

Looking to cut down on expenses, the owner of an advertising company assigns his worst employees to a campaign regarding his girlfriend's bizarre combination of a yoga mat and a blender. He figures when they fail he can fire them. Although this is admittedly a mean-spirited premise, the show still has the potential to be funny. It is not.

The actors do a decent job with what they are given, especially Allie Trimm who is the standout as an accountant suddenly thrown into helping create an advertising campaign, however, the characters are cliches. Although it is moving when the team really starts to come together even that is a cliche. There is not too much that is original in this show and what there is just isn't funny.

The father/son team that created this show has previously been known for musicals. They should stick to that. This show just isn't funny.

And that's our view. For more about The Z Team or to purchase tickets to the remaining performance go to www.thezteam.show.

Tune in tomorrow for this week's Sunday Scoop.
