F*ck the 7th Grade is a singer-songwriter, Jill Sobule's autobiographical musical. She is best known for the song, I Kissed a Girl, which is not to be confused with the Katy Perry song of the same name. The show is told in the form of a rock musical with Sobule's bandmates taking on the roles of other people in Sobule's life including former classmates. Although the show is very intimate, there are so many things about her story that are so relatable for other people that it remains interesting and relevant throughout the 90-minute duration. Plus, the songs are catchy and fun. This is not a show that is appropriate for very young children due to language and subject matter. However, if you are not a child, don't be put off by the title, this is really a very engaging show that is worth seeing.
