Broadway Podcast Network (BPN) Co-Founders Dori Berinstein and Alan Seales announced today the launch of their new website and listening platform. With over 180 theatre and theatre-adjacent podcasts, audio dramas, parodies, radio plays, live video events, and more, BPN is deeply engaged with avid theatre goers globally, having recently surpassed 11 million downloads.
The first podcast officially launching on the new BPN site is the highly anticipated series “Singular Sensation: The Triumph of Broadway,” hosted by esteemed journalist and Broadway columnist Michael Riedel, and based on his critically acclaimed book of the same title.
The “Singular Sensation” podcast dives deep behind-the-curtain into the legendary shows of the 90’s, including Rent, Angels in America, The Producers and Sunset Boulevard. The series integrates Michael’s narration with his exclusive, never-before-heard, taped audio interviews with iconic artists from Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Sondheim, Patti LuPone, and more. From April 20 to 27, the Museum’s “Earth Rocks!” Program to Feature STEM-Inspired Activities and Performances in its New Makerspace
Earth Day, which falls on April 22 this year, will be celebrated for a full week at Brooklyn Children’s Museum (BCM). From Saturday, April 20 through Saturday, April 27, families and caregivers looking for fun and enriching activities over the weekend or during spring break can visit the Museum for Earth Rocks!. The program varies throughout the week to ensure new discoveries with each return visit.

OF THE WARSAW GHETTO UPRISING Prominent Luminaries to Gather on April 19 to Mark the Solemn Event |
This year’s annual event will feature an impressive array of artists to remember the victims of the Nazi war on European Jewry and commemorate their resistance. 2024 marks the 81st anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, when Jewish resistance fighters in the Warsaw Ghetto—many in their teens and twenties—launched a sustained guerrilla battle in response to a planned Nazi mass deportation to the death camps. They fought without any attainable hope of victory, but with the goal that they would not die in silence. Heroically, they managed to hold off the German army from April 19th to May 16th. It was the largest single revolt by Jews during the Holocaust. 13,000 were killed (some 6,000 among them were burnt alive or died from smoke inhalation). Of the remaining 50,000 Jewish residents, almost all were captured and shipped to concentration camps or killing centers. The Uprising did succeed in delaying the Germans timeline of deportations, and it inspired other resistance movements across the German-occupied areas.
This annual gathering commemorates all who resisted, all who fought, all who died, and all who survived. It follows a tradition established in 1947 by Jewish partisans, ghetto fighters and Holocaust survivors of meeting at the site earmarked by the City of New York for a memorial to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. It has become an annual gathering of Bundists and members of the secular, progressive Yiddish cultural community, as well as children and grandchildren of the original attendees.
The upcoming program in Riverside Park, including music and readings, will feature Lili Kshensky Baxter (renowned teacher of the history & application of nonviolence; Director Emerita of the Weinberg Center for Holocaust Education), Joanne Borts (appeared in Broadway’s Tony-winning Best Musical Once as well as Fiddler on the Roof starring Topol), Sarah Gordon (lead singer for Yiddish Princess, a NY-based Yiddish-language rock band), Feygele Jacobs (Yiddish singer), Marcel Kshensky (educator & son of Holocaust survivors), Shifee Losacco (Yiddish singer & fundraiser), Julia Mintz (Writer & Director of the recent acclaimed documentary Four Winters; A Story of Jewish Partisan Resistance and Bravery in WW2), Zalmen Mlotek (Artistic Director of the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene), Daniella Rabbani (actress; Off-Broadway: The Golden Land; film & TV: “Scenes from a Marriage,” “God Friended Me,” Ocean’s Eight), and Esti Zanoni (student at the Workers Circle Shule).
The event takes place under the open skies, rain or shine, and is free and open to the public.

With Keys, lead cast member Maleah Joi Moon, and the Broadway company of HELL’S KITCHEN, the video also has a colorful cast of extras to showcase a true New York kaleidoscope of music, dance and community. Filmed entirely at Manhattan Plaza, the video is a love letter to the Hell’s Kitchen community where Alicia Keys was born and raised. From Manhattan Plaza's courtyard to the Ellington Room where Alicia first learned to play the piano, the visual soars with the magic of the city, a world full of hopes and dreams and the long-held belief of every New Yorker that “anything is possible here.”
The cast of characters in the video were encouraged to bring their own sense of style to their wardrobe, something with their own unique sense of New York swagger. Alicia joined in -- fans will see a nod to her family ties in a scene where she wears an exclusive custom-made GIANTS vest from the Dean Collection exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum, designed by Savant.

“History That Doesn’t Suck” is an interactive adaptation of Jackson’s top-ranked history podcast. In his live show, he will take audience members on a journey through time as they explore the first 100 years of American History in only 100 minutes. Philly's 1st Annual World Circus Day Celebration and Festival will feature something for everyone - from kids to adults to families, and things for new/beginners to more advanced students. There is a lot of "plates spinning" for the day with something for every age and every ability and skill level. Sign-ups are encouraged, but walk-ins are allowed if space permits.
Who decides the winner? You! And also them. Each selected piece will have three nights to perform over one of the three weeks. Each night, three or four selected pieces will perform. At the end? The audience will vote. After the three weeks are up: They will have the winners. One from each performance group. If they feel like there was one show they just simply can’t let go of…they will pick more. Those winners go on and have the ability to expand their pieces for the next round of performances in June/July. Those productions will also make a portion of box office sales in the second round. There’s more? Yes, from that group an overall winner is picked and that production will have the opportunity to perform as a part of the SoHo Playhouse’s annual International Fringe Encore Series, which includes some of the best productions from around the world.
What will you get? Other than an Off-Broadway credit, a three night performance of your piece and the chance of extending? The Lighthouse Theatre Series will be an incredible, power-packed few nights of theater. K–12 Education Programs on the Water
Educational programs and field trips are also offered aboard both ships, and booking for school groups and summer camps is now open.
