Still More Theater Saturday - Best of Broadway Flops

We were given access to a complimentary livestream of Best of  Broadway Flops for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed are our own.

What: Best of Broadway Flops

Where:  Feinsteins/54 Below & Livestreaming
              254 W. 54 St.
              New York, NY

When: This event took place on April 2, 2024

Just because a show doesn't make it on Broadway, doesn't mean that is not any good. There are numerous reasons why a show might not do well. In fact, many shows that were not initially successful go on to become big hits in high schools, colleges, community theaters, and/or other places.

On April 2 at 54 Below, they celebrated some of the best shows that never really made it big on  Broadway. Here is just a partial list of the shows and songs that were included in this event:

Tuck Everlasting - Partner in Crime

The Baker's Wife - Meadowlark

Side Show - Who Will Love Me As I Am?

Honeymoon in Vegas - I Love Betsy/Betsy's Getting Married

Bandstand - Welcome Home

Even the recently closed Harmony was represented with the song Every Single Day.

Performers included:

Angel Alzedian
Carol Angeli
Ted Calvin
Juan Castro
Cara Rose DiPietro
Hannah Ellowitz
Mario Greiner
Dan Hoy
Jesse Rae Joran
Michael Lavine
Katherine Lindsley
Ashylun Maddox
Rachel Marie
Brndy Chavonne Massey
Jennifer Molson
Ben Neumayer
Bryan George Rowell
Senya
Autumn Eliza Sheffy
Annabelle Skala
Luke Surretsku
Joseph C. Townsend
Renee Urquioa

All in all, it was a fun evening of song. Plus, it was nice to see these shows getting the recognition they deserve. There are definitely many more shows that didn't do well on Broadway and are equally deserving of being remembered so hopefully there will be more events like this one in the future.
