Where-To-Go Wednesday - NYC Bagel Tours

If you are interested in a walking tour that offers a lot of eating but not so much walking as other tours, you may enjoy an NYC Bagel Tour. There are only three stops on this tour including Liberty Bagel, home of the rainbow bagel. Although this is fewer tasting stops than on the average food tour, you will still get plenty to eat, and you definitely will not go home hungry. Also, unlike other tours, this tour mostly takes place inside, and you will have plenty of opportunities to sit down. Thus, this tour is a great choice for all kinds of weather and for anyone who doesn't mind walking but doesn't want to stand around for a long time.

Unlike most food tours which offer minimal choices of what to sample, this tour offers an assortment of items at each stop making it a great choice for even the pickest of eaters. You will have the opportunity to sample a variety of bagels, cream cheeses, and even a few bagel sandwiches. The specific assortment of available items does vary from tour to tour, however, and you won't be able to find out what will be available on the day of your tour until you arrive at each stop, but you can try as many or as few items at each stop as you like. 

In addition to the samplings, will have the opportunity to learn about the history of this iconic food. You will learn how bagels are made, and even see some of the tools of trade including a giant mixer and a storage freezer. You may even get to see a demonstration of bagels being made although this is not available on all tours and you will not be able to find out until you go on your tour if that will be available on the day of your tour. All in all, if you like bagels you can't go wrong with this tasty and satisfying tour.
