Funtivity Friday - Visit BroadwayCon Which Opens Today or Another Fun Fan Convention!

If you are a really big fan of something, then its fun to attend a convention regarding it. At a fan convention you can

1) Meet other fans like you
2) Attend panels regarding the subject
3) Purchase related memorabilia
4) Maybe even meet some of the people involved like actors, writers, producers etc.
and more!

These days there seems to be a fan convention for just about everything. Here are just a few of them

Con of Thrones - This convention is about all things Game of Thrones. Con of Thrones will take place from May 25-27 in Dallas, TX.

AlienCon - This is a convention for those who seek to explain the unexplained. AlienCon will take place from June 15-17 in Pasadena, CA.

ComicCon - This multigenre comic and entertainment  convention is, of course, probably the most well known of the fan conventions. The next ComicCon will take place from July 18-22 in San Diego, CA.

LeakyCon - This a convention for Harry Potter fans. It will take place from August 10-12 in Dallas, Tx.

BroadwayCon - A convention for fans of Broadway theater. The next BroadwayCon is going on right now at the Jacob K. Javitz Center in New York City! For more, see below.

The third annual BroadwayCon is now open at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
Running through Sunday, January 28, BroadwayCon will feature nearly 400 Special Guests, over 220 hours of original programming, and more than 90 BroadwayCon Marketplace.

BroadwayCon is theatre’s answer to comic-con, tailor made for fans. From January 26–28, 2018, join some of Broadway’s biggest fans, performers, and creators from classic and current shows as we gather at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center to perform, discuss, debate, and celebrate theatre. BroadwayCon 2018 will feature panels,performances, interviews, workshops, singalongs, and more, all packed into an epic three-day weekend. Past panels have included previews from upcoming Broadway shows, conversations with the casts and creatives of this season’s hits, and discussions featuring the industry’s top producers and designers. BroadwayCon is produced by Mischief
Management. The BroadwayCon Artistic Director of Headline Programming is David Alpert.
