The word Groovy brings to mind a different time. It makes us thing of the 60s when the word groovy was popular. What if you suddenly found yourself in a different decade? That is what happens to 14 year old Raya in the novel Being A Witch and Other Things I Didn't Ask for. She suddenly finds herself in back in England in 1645 in the middle of the Essex Witch trials right after she has discovered that she herself is a witch.
