The Art and Whimsey of Mo Willems and Tuck Everlasting

We were given free tickets to The Art and Whimsey of Mo Willems at the New York Historical Society for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our based on our experience.
Me - The Art and Whimsey of Mo Willems exhibit at the New York Historical Society was good. I loved Mo Willems books when I was little. I especially liked the pigeon books. I really liked The Pigeon Wants A Puppy. I always loved books about dogs. The pictures of the puppy were really cute. At the museum, we saw all these pictures and things that Mo Willems drew, and it was really cool. There was even stuff from books I hadn't even heard of. I learned a lot of stuff about Mo Willems  and his books that I didn't know before. One thing I learned was Knuffle Bunny was originally going to be called Knuffle Bear. They even had a pretend bus like the one in Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus at the musuem. Kids could sit in it and look at Mo Willems books. They had wire sculptures that Mo Willems made too. Before, he drew his characters he made wire sculptures of them. The exhibit was good for all ages because older children and adults could learn more about Mo Willems and little kids could look at the pictures and Mo Willems books.

Me - Tuck Everlasting is a good show. It is about a girl who meets a family that is immortal. My favorite characters are Winnie, the girl and Jesse, the youngest son of the family. I liked Winnie because I could relate to her. Jesse was fun. He did things like sneak Winnie out to a carnival when they were supposed to be sleeping. The story was exciting and fun. I liked a lot of the songs. I especially liked the songs Good Girl Winnie Foster, Top of the World, Partner in Crime, and You Can't Trust A Man. I am definitely going to want to get the CD or at least some of the songs. It had a lot of good songs. I liked the ballet in the second act. It was cool because they kept showing Winnie at different ages. I liked getting the chance to see her as she grew up. The acting was good. The dancing was good. The singing was good. I liked the sets too. The costumes were old fashioned because of the time period when the story was set. They were still nice anyway. I didn't liked Winnie's hairstyle but that was also because of the time the show was set. Seeing the show, motivated me to read the book which I have recently started. Overall, it was a really good show , and I would really recommend seeing it.
And that's Aurella's view. Tune in tomorrow for Funtivity Friday.
