Tada! Youth Theater
Me- Tada! Youth Theater, wow! There is a lot to like about Tada! Youth Theater's production of The Trial of Alice in Wonderland. The scenery was cool. They even had a slide on stage. The costumes were nice. They were colorful and fun. The make-up was well done. It was appropriately cartoonish. The acting was decent. Some of the singing voices were really good. My favorite character was the Mad Hatter. The girl who played her had a lot of stage presence and a beautiful voice. Some of the kids in the show were really cute. I had a hard time with the story though because I couldn't get the Disney versions out of my head. My favorite version is the Disney cartoon. This version of the story was still enjoyable, however
Mom - Yesterday's post as well as Melia's above post mostly focused on Tada! Youth Theater's current production of The Trial of Alice in Wonderland and why it it is so great to be an audience member at a Tada! show. However, if you live in the Tri-State area and your child is interested in theater, your child can actually participate in Tada! Tada! has a great program. Your child will be given the opportunity to learn about dance, acting and music, They will then be given the opportunity to put these skills to use in full-scale original musicals. They will have the opportunity to meet and work with other kids of all different ages and backgrounds from all over the Tri-State area. Even if your child does not go into a professional theatrical career, the skills they will learn dealing with diverse groups of people and speaking and performing in front of crowds of people will be beneficial to them later in life no matter what career they decide to pursue, If you are interested in learning more about Tada! or enrolling your child in their program, if you are interested in supporting Tada! or even if you are just interested in finding out about attending one of their shows visit their web-site at http://www.tadatheater.com//. We will also be talking more about Tada! Youth Theater in future posts.
And that's our view. Have you or your children ever participated in a children's theater production and if so what did you like best about it or if you did not what do you think would be the best thing about participating in a children's theater production?
Tune in tomorrow for Funny Friday.
