If you missed the opportunity to see the recent revival of Merrily We Roll Along when it played New York's Hudson Theatre last year (or even earlier when it played Off Broadway's New York Theatre Workshop), you still have a few more days to catch the proshot in theaters courtesy of Fathom Entertainment. It's definitely worth the trip.

Although some of the singing voices are just okay, the acting is incredible.  Plus, the chemistry of the three leads: Jonathan Groff. Daniel Radcliffe and Lindsay Menendez is off the charts amazing. All three were nominated for Tony awards and deservedly so. Groff and Radcliffe actually won awards.

The show contains some great Sondheim songs, including "Old Friends", "Not A Day Goes By", and the title number, which gets repeated in various versions throughout the show. Despite this, the original production was a flop. It closed after only 16 performances and 44 previews. Since that time, the show has undergone substantial revisions, and numerous productions have been staged. However, it's hard to believe any of them could hold a candle to this excellent one. They do Sondheim proud. It was a shame he didn't live to see it.
