Deadly Stages is a campy theatrical murder mystery with an amusing connection to the film, All About Eve. In fact, if you are familiar with All About Eve or if you are a big mystery fan, there is probably not much mystery to it all, and you will most likely know who the culprit is fairly early in the proceedings. That doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the show, however.

It is all delightfully hammed up by the excellent cast most of whom appear in a variety of roles. They all do a fabulous job of slipping in and out of  the various characters and making them completely different from each other. Kudos to the costume designer and the wig designer who do a terrific job of helping to create the character by changing a hairstyle or adding accessories to a dress to make an actor look like a completely different character. Changes in accent play a big role in differentiating characters as well . It is extremely amusing when actor slips off stage to have a conversation with himself in the role of two different characters speaking in two different accents as happens several times throughout the show. Even though the mystery may not be much of  a surprise, it's still all great fun.
