Where-To-Go Wednesday - Pez Visitor Center

What: Pez Visitor Center

Where: 35 Prindle Hill Rd.
             Orange, CT

Who: All ages

Me & Mom - At the Pez Visitor Center you can buy plenty of Pez and more. You can learn about the history of Pez. You can try your hand at some Pez trivia. You can also view tons of different Pez dispensers from over the years and even see giant Pez replicas that you can take a picture with.

Over the years, there have been quite a few generic Pez dispensers including Santa Claus, various animals, moving vehicles, and many more. Numerous figures in popular culture have been made into Pez figures as well including among others Mickey Mouse, various Star Wars characters, and even characters from the TV series, The Office. There have also been different kinds of Pez figures and not just the ones most people are used to. There have been stuffed animal Pez, Giant Pez, and bendy Pez among others as well as special sets of related Pez figures. You can see examples of all of these at the Pez Visitor Center.

You can also find some especially unique Pez-related products. There are Pez shoes with heels made out of Pez. There is a Pez bike. There is a Pez clock. The latter is not actually made of Pez. It uses pictures of packs of Pez for the numbers. There is also a  flag made out of Pez wrappers.

If you visit the center on a weekday, you may even get to see them making Pez. If not, you can still view the factory area where the Pez is made. There is also a video of Pez being made, you can view.

The Pez Visitor Center is open 7 days a week.  Although it is not free to visit, the fee is minimal;  $5 for adults, $4 for children 3 -12. With each paid admission, you get a Pez lanyard and a $2 credit for the Pez store.  If you love Pez, you'll really enjoy a visit here. If not, it is still quite a unique and interesting place to visit.

And that's our view. For more about the Pez Visitor Center, go to us.pez.com/pages/hours-and-location.
