Exorcistic is a raunchy, rowdy, rocking musical version of the story of the Exorcist. It is extremely inappropriate for children due to both the subject matter and the location.  The venue is so unassuming that if you don't pay careful attention to where you are going, you will definitely miss it. It almost feels like you are walking into a secret speakeasy or something.  

Inside it is one of those venues that is mostly a bar with a small stage. There is limited food available as well. However, the nice thing is that unlike in most venues of this type, a minimum purchase is not required. 

As for the show, itself, you don't have to be familiar with the film to enjoy it, but there are definitely things about it that fans of the movie will particularly enjoy. Even if you don't like The Exorcist or horror movies in general, you can still enjoy this show. It is not really scary at all.

The crudeness is actually more of an issue than the horror. If that type of humor offends you or you are particularly religious, you probably won't like it.  However, if you can get past that the show can actually be quite a fun experience. It is extremely interactive, in your face, and all around you, and the actors could be right next to you or standing in front of you at any time. However,  this does  not actually feel as intimidating or overwhelming as it may sound.

The score really rocks out hard but is mostly not that memorable. However, it is always worth it to have the opportunity to hear Emma Hunton sing. She plays the role of the possessed child known as Regan in the film and called Megan here. She is clearly the star of the show in every sense of the word. Her performance and voice are both incredible. Leigh Wulff also does a particularly nice job in the role of Reagan's mother. The rest of the cast is good, but those two are definitely the standouts, and on the whole Emma Hunton's performance is the major reason to see this show.
