Me - Prejudice and Pride is a show that's a modernized Western take on Pride and Prejudice. I have never read Pride and Prejudice so I was not familiar with it. However, I looked up the synopsis of the plot on Wikipedia and found that the events of the show followed those of the book a lot more directly than I had anticipated. This will probably please fans of the book who should enjoy the show.

Still, even f you are not a fan of the book you can still enjoy this show. The story is interesting. There is a lot of romance, and it has a good ending.

The music is pretty.   Although unfortunately, none of the songs stuck in my head, I did enjoy them. The best singer was the main character, Bennett Longborn. Mostly all the voices were good though.

The acting was mixed. Some good, some not so good. My favorites were the couple who played the secondary characters, Jake and Carly Their acting was especially good, and they had really good chemistry. All of the singing was mostly good.  On the whole, it was a pretty enjoyable show.

Mom - Prejudice and Pride is a new take on Jane Austen's classic story, and the title is not the only thing that has been reversed. The genders have been reversed as well. Also, the story is now a Western musical set in the present day.

While the show is a unique and interesting new take on a classic, it is recognizable enough to anyone who really loves the original story and is looking for something familiar. The music is a great addition to the story if you like your music with a Country Western twang, and for the most part the voices are good. The standout in both singing and acting is Sam Wright, who plays Bennett Longborn and who also happens to be the show's composer and co-book writer. The problem is he and his co-star Bridget Casad who plays Darcy Fitzwilliams don't really have any chemistry especially when compared to their fellow performers, PT Mahoney and  Stefanie Stevens, who ooze chemistry. They in addition to Chris Owen, who is quite amusing in the role of Lyle Longborn, are the highlights of this show.
