Where-To-Go Wednesday - Behind the Emerald Curtain Tour

What:
Behind the Emerald Curtain Tour

Where: Gershwin Theatre
             242 W. 51 St.
             New York, NY

Who: All ages

If you are a fan of the musical Wicked you are not going to want to miss the Behind the Emerald Curtain Tour, While you do not actually get to go backstage on this tour, you do get the opportunity to get a close-up view of some of the iconic costumes including the one of Elphaba's dress and the original Galinda bubble dress as well as many of the props and more. You also get to meet a couple of the ensemble members and ask them questions about the show among other things.

Tours are not that frequent, however. They are only given approximately one Saturday morning per month. Also, although tour sizes are allegedly kept small sometimes they are not as small as you would think, and they can get quite crowded. The area where the costumes, props, etc are located is quite small so if you get claustrophobic or don't like big crowds you may find it overwhelming. This is not a problem for the Q & A portion of the event which takes place in the auditorium. On the whole, if crowds and tight spaces don't bother you, the Behind the Emerald Curtain Tour is definitely a unique experience and a rare chance to get an insider's look at one of the most beloved musicals of all time.

And that's our view. For more information or to purchase tickets to the Behind the Emerald Curtain Tour, visit wickedthemusical.com/tickets/behind-emerald-curtain/
