The Drag Seed is the drag version of the 1956 movie The Bad Seed about a psychopathic little girl who is not above killing to get what she wants.  This production by Hell in a Handbag productions is both hilarious and chilling. Patrick O' Keefe as Carson the psychopathic child and Ed Jones as their mother are both excellent in their roles. David Cerda does a nice turn as the neighbor, Miss Charles as well. Elizabeth Lesinsinki as Wendy Breeze,  Kelly Anchors as Lee, and Tyler Anthony Smith in a variety of roles are fine but not quite up to the caliber of the aforementioned performers.  Sydney Genco is fine as well in her role as Jennifer Frittata, but her role seems unnecessary and a side plot about her flirtation with Carson's mother goes nowhere.

This fast-paced show takes you on a thrilling ride and definitely, holds your interest throughout. If you are not familiar with the movie, you probably won't be able to predict all the chilling twists the story will take.  The show is not exactly the same as the movie anyway and even the end is slightly different. All in all, if you ar looking for a show that will both amuse you and keep you on the edge of your seat, this one definitely fits the bill.

  1. Looks like an interesting & fun show. Recently saw a local show here called The Full Monty which was very funny & this show reminds me of that one.
