Holiday Windows Walking Tour 2021

Here is an overview of this year's annual department store holiday window's in New York City:

Bloomingdales located at Lexington Avenue between 59th and 60th Street. Although this year's theme is allegedly Give Happy, whatever that means,  Bloomingdale's windows just seem to be decorated with a haphazard array of things including ones with decorations based around a computer with a face, a couple of penguins, a mannequin riding a dinosaur and more.

Bergdorf Goodman located at Fifth Avenue between 57th and 58th: This year's theme is allegedly The Present Moment. However, their windows also seem to be a haphazard array of different things. They are very colorful, however, with each window based around a specific color scheme.

Saks Fifth Avenue located at Fifth Avenue between 49th and 50th. This year every holiday window at Saks is created by combining the drawings of two different children. What a delightful idea and how exciting for the children whose drawings were chosen!

Macy's located at: 34 Street between 34th and 35th: This year's theme revolved around the story of Tiptoe the reindeer and there was even a giant Tiptoe above the entrance to the story where Santa would normally be.

Over all, although not all of the holiday windows were as interesting as they have been in previous years, it was just great to have them back and to be able to see them in person again!

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.
