The premiere #I Will video can be seen here.

They will continue the “One Night Only” series, the “Around the Table” free reading series, the “Carolyn Halpert Artist-in-Residence Program,” which nurtures up and coming artists making their way into the world of theatre, and many more exciting events. 2) AMAS MUSICAL THEATRE AND
LA VIE PRODUCTIONS
ANNOUNCE THE RELEASE OF THE MUSIC VIDEO
“LOVE DON’T ANSWER TO NO ONE”
FROM THE NEW MUSICAL, VICTORY TRAIN
BY DAVID BUSKIN & JAKE HOLMES

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) and La Vie Productions (R. Erin Craig, Producer) announce today the release of a Zoom-inspired music video of “Love Don’t Answer to No One” from the musical Victory Train by David Buskin and Jake Holmes. The music video is available at www.amasmusical.org and on YouTube here.

ncreasingly angered and distressed by the perpetuation of hate and violence in the world, Buskin and Holmes were urged by producer, R. Erin Craig to take a song from their new musical Victory Train, that would allow them to use their artistry to share their feelings. With the help of their friends and loved ones, they created the music video of their anthem, “Love Don’t Answer To No One” to remind us all that together we can work to erase the hate.

In Victory Train, with a country torn apart by social upheaval and the escalating war in Vietnam, two young people try to reach across their differences to find love and honor. Set in 1968, a year that was the crucible for so many of the freedom movements that have since grown and flourished, the most successful changes came through love, peaceful protest, and passive resistance. Victory Train examines those struggles for change which continue to resonate in our troubled times. Our song “Love Don’t Answer To No One" reflects these struggles as a declaration of a young generation's determination to live lives - and to forge a world - based on their convictions and beliefs.

Klingon Language,

To Lead Exploration of Alien Cultures on Escape Velocity Extra

Wednesday night, September 23, 7:00 p.m. ET

Actors Robert O’Reilly and J.G. Hertzler to Provide Unique Insights

Into their Roles of Gowron and Martok

When Robert O’Reilly and J.G. Hertzler command the spotlight this coming Wednesday evening, September 23 for Escape Velocity Extra’s focus on Communicating with Klingons – Interpreting Alien Language and Culture, they will share the spotlight with the man who made the Klingon language “a thing.”

On Wednesday evening, Okrand, O’Reilly and Hertzler will discuss Klingon culture in general, as they explore what is undoubtedly the most popular and celebrated alien race in all of science fiction.  Klingon High Council Chancellor Gowron, portrayed by O’Reilly, made his debut in Star Trek: The Next Generation and emerged as a critical figure in the Klingon government.  His presence continued into Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, where he shared prominence with Hertzler’s character, General Martok, leader of the Klingon fleet detachment to Deep Space Nine during the Federation-Dominion War who later, briefly, also became Chancellor.

Wednesday night’s program, will consist of a single 90-minute session, beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET.  The cost is a $5 donation to the non-profit Museum of Science Fiction.  Both O’Reilly and Hertzler will be available for three-minute one-on-one fan interactions immediately following the program (estimated for 8:30 p.m. ET) at a cost of $35, also tax deductible.

7) THE CELL AND DARK MATTER LAUNCH NEW IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
GARDEN OF EDEN
Now Thru October 10, 2020

Nancy Manocherian’s the cell theatre with Dark Matter Immersive has launched a unique immersive experience entitled GARDEN OF EDEN.  Inspired by the tarot, New Orleans and backwoods wanderings, this indoor labyrinth “garden” encourages and fosters introspection as audience members are posed with reflective questions and prompted to engage in meditative activities throughout the experience.  Designed and created by  Ereka Duncan and Jaclyn Atkinson, GARDEN OF EDEN includes a virtual tarot reading from Melissa Madara with an ambient soundscape composed and engineered by Ricardo Romaneiro.

Available by appointment only, audiences visiting GARDEN OF EDEN will ponder their own hero’s journey, allowing them to shed their spiritual skin in order to move forward and evolve. Dark Matter’s co-founders Ereka Duncan and Jaclyn Atkinson encourage guests to “Arouse their senses and reconnect with their inner-selves.  Around each corner lies enlightenment. Each dead end is a new beginning.” Artistic Director of the cell Kira Simring says “Dark Matter creates a fusion of art forms reflecting the rapidly shifting boundaries of our times.  As a participant in the experience, you become the subject and co-creator, drawing you into the unconscious realm to embrace the unknown."

Private time slots for GARDEN OF EDEN are available Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm for $40. Audiences may either go in by themselves or bring an additional guest for an additional cost. It runs through October 10. Tickets are available at thecelltheatre.org.

Each private time slot lasts up to 50 minutes. Each audience member will be required to wear a face mask throughout the experience. Hand sanitizer is available and touched surfaces will be disinfected between patrons.

Ghost Hunt
8) The Hall-Mills Double Homicide
An asynchronous multi-city theatrical adventure that re-imagines the Hall-Mills double homicide of 1922

Created by KAREN ALVARADO, J.M. MEYER, ANIA UPSTILL
and members of the ensemble

FREE

ON GEOCACHE SITES AND THINKERYANDVERSE.ORG

THINKERY AND VERSE, Karen Alvarado, J.M. Meyer, co-artistic directors, and BUTCH MERMAID, Ania Upstill, artistic director, are pleased to announce their collaboration in the world premiere experiential production of GHOST HUNT: The Hall-Mills Double Homicide, based on their more traditional Hall-Mills stage-play, THOU SHALT NOT, which was set to premiere this spring in New York City. Part podcast, part gaming (think Pokemon-go), part theatrical production, this unique experience is entirely Covid-19 safe (set in a NJ community which has lost over 1400 people to the illness) and uses a free gaming app called ‘GeoCaching’, in which audiences will track, hunt, and discover hidden caches at locations tied to Hall-Mills murders.

GHOST HUNT is a geo-cached audio adventure that invites participants to experience the story of a tragic double homicide at the sites where the murders occurred and justice was lost. The games began on September 16.

n 1922, a young woman found her life destroyed when her mother, a choir singer at a small New Brunswick, New Jersey church, was discovered murdered alongside the church’s rector in a ruthless double homicide: Reverend Edward Hall had been shot in the skull, while the woman next to him, Eleanor Mills, suffered three gunshots to the face and a slit throat. Someone eerily posed the bodies and scattered their love letters at their feet. The case has never been solved. Now Thinkery & Verse and Butch Mermaid collaborate with the Church of Saint John the Evangelist, the home parish of the minister and the choir singer, to present GHOST HUNT: the Hall-Mills Double Homicide, an asynchronous, multi-platform theatrical resurrection of an infamous unsolved crime. GHOST HUNT, with the support of the Saint John’s congregation, investigates a terrifying injustice, which enveloped a small-town society in a ruthless big-city circus.

Once logged into the GeoCaching application, each “cache” or “location” contains relics related to the failed investigation of the crime and a QR code that invokes a digital audio journey into the heart of the case: the haunted back-alley home of the murdered Eleanor Mills, the mansion of the doomed Edward Hall, the site of the murders on DeRussey’s Lane, the Venice enclave where Frances Hall recovered from ‘the shock’ of the murders, the courthouse brought to its knees by a media circus, the San Antonio train station visited by the replacement priest, a forgotten Virginia battlefield, the New York streets where the victim’s daughter tried to move on, the Brooklyn burial site of the wealthy Hall family, and more.

While much of the experience does take place in New Brunswick, New Jersey there are opportunities to explore caches in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Venice, Italy, Virginia, and Texas. Although the tangible experience is only available in said locations, one can still explore and listen from the comfort of their own homes as the audio material is available on the website for those unable to visit Venice and/or New Jersey.

Artists will be using their social media platforms (primarily instagram) to share voter information on deadlines and mail-in voting regulations while actively engaging followers on the many reasons  WHY they are exercising their right to vote.   Each artist will also ask three of their followers to perform action items based on: confirming their voter registration, and pleading to use their vote. Our voices are louder when #MeBecomesWe

WeAre & Belt the Vote will be deploying the campaign in tandem with other theatre/tv/film artists, universities & regional theatres, who will be posting each week and engaging their followers. This will include some of the artists opting to go Live during that week to hear from their followers about why they are voting.
