Tips for Tuesday - Books: How to Draw Without Talent & The Amelia Moore Mysteries: Volume 3

We may have been given a complimentary copy of one or more of the books and/or other products listed below for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Book: How to Draw Without Talent and The Amelia Moore Mysteries: Volume 3

Today we are recommending two books.

The first book we are recommending today is How to Draw Without Talent by Danny Gregory. Reading this book will not necessarily make you a better artist, but it will make drawing more fun. You can learn some useful information about the types of lines that make up drawings, different types of cross-hatching, shading, and other aspects of drawing as well as ways to make drawing easier.  However, even if you follow everything it says in this book that does not mean you will instantly become a great artist, but that's not really the point anyway. The point is that attempting to draw shouldn't be  so daunting, it should be fun, and this book makes it feel that way. Even if you don't think it will, it may actually inspire you to pick up a pen or pencil and try. a drawing of your own.

Amelia Moore Mysteries: Volume 3 by [Linda Weaver Clarke]

The second book we are recommending today is Amelia Moore Mysteries: Volume 3, the third and final book to date in the series by Linda Weaver Clark. In this installment, the adorable as ever pair of detectives, Amelia Moore and Rick Bonito, solve another two mysteries,  and their relationship advances as well. This book is a little more personal since the second mystery involves a member of Rick Bonito's own family. Whether you are in it for the mystery, the romance, the wonderful descriptions of the places the pair travel while solving their cases or some combination of the three, this book more than lives up to the caliber of the first two books, and definitely does not disappoint. In fact, this one may be the best one in the series yet.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for What-To--Do Wednesday.
