Giveaways: Win a copy of Gabby The Little Dog That Couldn't Bark in The Roaring 20's Giveaway Hop!

Welcome to The Roaring 20's Giveaway Hop
hosted by The Kids Did It and The Mommy Island

If you love a good dog story, you will definitely enjoy Gabby The Little Dog That Had to Learn to Bark. This is more than the story of a dog. It is the story of the bond between a woman and a dog that were clearly meant to be together. Barby Keel was the owner of an animal sanctuary. Even though she already had two dogs of her own, when Gabby was brought in, Barby just knew that the little dog was meant to be her own even though Gabby couldn't even bark. It turned out that Barby's instinct was right. Not only did Gabby really need Barby, Barby really needed Gabby as well. Anyone that has ever loved an animal will be able to relate to this beautiful story. For more about this book, see our previous post Tips for Tuesday - Books: Gabby The Little Dog That Couldn't Bark. 2. We had to put our 10 year old Golden Retriever down 2 1/2 years ago. We were with her until her last breath. It was as if she knew and kept putting her paw in our hands as if to say goodbye. Not a day goes by that I don't think of our sweet Madison. She was the sweetest girl. Miss you baby girl!

  6. I have a little Chihuahua that I rescued after my husband passed away (or did he rescue me?). He is a feisty little dude and would bite me for no apparent reason (I'm sure there was one...I just didn't know what it was) Anyway, instead of becoming angry, I would cuddle him and whisper in his ear...I'm never sending you back to that shelter no matter how many times you bite me). It took a year and a half but now we are best buds...it just makes me so happy that I worked with him and kept him and he has such a good life now.

  8. As a little girl, for months I would go over to my neighbors and feed a beautiful Calico stray cat, the day came where she came up to me and let me pet her, and we formed a wonderful bond. My parents let me keep her and I named her chai baby.
