Me - An Enchanted April was a good show. It was about these people who put their money together to be able to afford this vacation place in Italy. The story was fascinating. I had never seen or heard of the book and/or movie it was based on before, but I liked it. Some parts of the plot were kind of predictable but others were more surprising. The characters were interesting and unique. The songs were nice but I don't remember them. They used umbrellas to display projections that set the scene. That was very original and cool. It definitely was an enjoyable show, and you should see it before it closes.

Mom - An Enchanted April is a charming new musical not based on the 1991 movie but instead harkening back to the original source material Elizabeth Arnim's 1922 book, The Enchanted April. Its story of people unhappy with their lives and wanting to get away from it all for a while really resonates with a lot of people these days. Of course, in real life things are not always so easy to resolve and when you come back you merely return to the problems you left. Still, even if you can't so easily solve your own problems you can at least go for a little while and watch other people hopefully solve theirs which is one of the things that makes a show like this so appealing.  In this case you feel as if you have taken a trip to Italy too for a little while, and the beautiful set and costumes only add to that illusion. However, if you want to partake in this theatrical journey, you better hurry as the show is only open through this Saturday November 17.
