Me & Mom - The other day, April 15, Major League baseball honored Jackie Robinson on the day that would have been his 100th birthday.  The Museum of the City of New York is also currently  honoring the legacy of Jackie Robinson with its exhibit In the Dugout with Jackie Robinson. The exhibit gives a fascinating look at both the public and private Jackie Robinson and the way he was portrayed in the media. It is made up mostly up pictures although there are a few artifacts including Jackie's baseball glove and a Brooklyn Dodgers pennant. There are also Jackie Robinson quotes painted on the walls, and magazines that featured articles about him. There are a lot of pictures of Jackie Robinson playing ball and pictures of him with his teammates. There are also a bunch of pictures of him with his family. If you don't know anything about Jackie Robinson, you can learn a lot from this exhibit. However, even if you do know a lot about him, you will probably still learn things from this exhibit. In any case, it is definitely worth visiting this intriguing exhibit and getting a more intimate look at a man who is not only  an important figure in sports history but in America history as well. The exhibit  will be open through September 15, 2019.
