What: Titanic the Musical

Where: Kelsey Theatre
             1200 Old Trenton Rd.
             West Windsor, NJ

Who: Ages 8 and Up

When:  Friday, Saturday, Sunday through April 29, 2018

Me - Titanic the musical is not at all related to the movie of the same. It is about the actual people that were on the Titanic. It was a good show. It was interesting. I didn't really know much about the Titanic before the show. It was sad that so many people died. That made the show sad too. Some of the songs were good but I don't really remember any of them. The acting at Kelsey's version of the show was good. The singing was nice. My Dad has the CD from the Broadway show, and I actually liked the voices better when we saw the show at Kelsey Theatre. The dancing was okay. Over all, it was a good show.

What: One Thousand Nights and One Day

Where: A.R.T. /New York Theatres
             New York, NY

Who: Ages 13 and Up

When: Through April 29, 2018

Mom - If you like a show that combines tales set in different time periods into one show, you may enjoy One Thousand Nights and One Day. The show is a musical that combines the story of 1001 and One Nights with a  post-modern love story.  The modern day story is set in a kind of dark and dystopian world. Accordingly, if you don't like that sort of thing, you won't enjoy this show. The story can be a bit confusing at times, but the acting and singing are good. The songs are just okay, but one or two of them are kind of nice. If you are looking for a happy uplifitng musical, this is definitely not it. However, if you want to see a show that takes risks by presenting something that is completely different, you might enjoy this show.
