Tips for Tuesday - Misc.: 116 Cameras

Mom - Today I am recommending 116 Cameras. 116 Camera is a short documentary film about a new method of preserving the testimony of holocaust survivors so that their testimony will live on in a very real way even after they die through the use of holograms. The survivors are recorded answering a series of commonly asked questions so that in the future it will seem like they are having a conversation with their audience. This important technology will make it so that in essence there are never not any Holocaust survivor's left to tell their story. This is very important since there is still so much hatred in the world, and we must never forget the hings that can and do happen because of that hatred, and we must motivate people to work to keep them from happening again. The documentary features Eva Schloss, the stepsister of Anne Frank. Eva's mother married Otto Frank, Anne's father after the war. There is currently an exhibit, New Dimensions in Testimony running at the Museum of Jewish Heritagein New York City related to the documentary. The exhibit will be running through April 29, 2018.
