Where-To-Go Wednesday - Gulliver's Gate

We were given free tickets to Gulliver's Gate for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Gulliver's Gate

Where: 216 W. 44th St.
             New York, NY

Who: All ages

Me - Gulliver's Gate is a place they have miniatures of places from all over the world. A lot of them are famous places. It was really interesting.  l liked everything there especially the stuff representing St. Petersburg,  Russia and Paris, France. They pretty much had stuff representing every continent except Antarctica. They had Niagara Falls. You could make it look like you were in Niagara Falls because it was small but not as small as most of the other things. Other things they had there included the Loch Ness Monster, the Colosseum in Rome, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. They had a whole section on New York City. They had the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building and Freedom Tower among other things. They even had the TKTS booth in Times Square, and they had a poster for Hamilton. They had troika drivers in Russia. They had carousels. They had Santa Claus. They had all different kinds of transportation like cars, trucks, trains, subways, troikas and lots of other kinds of transportation. It was an extremely fun place to visit, and I would very much recommend going.

Mom - If you can't afford a trip around the world, Gulliver's Gate is the next best thing. Gulliver's Gate is full of miniatures of the world's most iconic locations including Buckingham Palace in London, The Forbidden City in China,  the Western Wall in Israel,  and the Panama Canal. There is a whole section on New York City which includes The Brooklyn Bridge, The New York Public Library with its famous lions, and Grand Central Terminal among other things. A smaller section devoted to Washington DC includes such famous landmarks as the Washington Monument and the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. The mini landmarks and buildings throughout the exhibit are incredible, however there is more to this exhibit than that. The exhibit is its own little world full tiny objects and people.  It is an interactive world where with the turn of  a key you are given when you purchase your ticket, you are able to make mini hot air ballons fly, set a merry-go-around spinning, see inside a pyramid, or make cows moo among other things. Throughout the exhibit, there are plenty of places to interact. The exhibit also includes a 360 degree scanner where you can have a full body scan of yourself taken. The scan can be sent to you for free or for a fee you can have a 3D likeness of yourself added to the exhibit or even purchase a 3D likeness of yourself to be sent to your home. 3D likenesses come in three different sizes, but all  of them are somewhat expensive. However, even if you don't or you can't  purchasing a 3D likeness of yourself, Gulliver's Gate is still great fun for all ages.
