Tips for Tuesday - Movies: Heidi (2107) and Alive and Kicking

We may have been given one or more of the products mentioned below for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.
Me- Today I am recommending Heidi. Heidi was a good movie. It is about a little girl named Heidi who goes to live with her grandfather, and then is taken to live with another family. It is based on the classic story of the same name by Joanna Spyri. I never read the book though nor did I ever see the movie before. However, I enjoyed the movie. The story was interesting. My favorite character was Heidi. She was brave and she was kind. She was a good role model for girls. I also liked that they had cute goats in the move because I love animals. The actors in the movie were good in their roles, and the setting of the movie was really pretty. Everyone would like this movie especially people who like classics, and movies with great characters and that are mostly uplifting and have happy endings.*

*This post refers to a new 2017 version of the story which  is currently on DVD. The movie is in English although it was originally produced in Germany.

Mom - Today I am recommending Alive and Kicking. Alive and Kicking is a documentary about swing dancing.  You might think swing dancing died out after the 1940s only to resurface for the occasional movie,  but you would be wrong. It is alive and well and thriving. If you want to know more about this happy energetic style of dancing and the people who participate in it, you won't want to miss this movie. Alive in Kicking is now playing in theaters and is available OnDemand as well. For more information go to http://www.magpictures.com/aliveandkicking/.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
