Tips for Tuesday - Books: Socks and The Somerset Ball

We may have been given one or more of the below books for free for review purposes. This post also may contain affiliate links. If you click on a link and make a purchase, we may be compensated. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.
Me - Today I am recommending Socks by Beverly Cleary. It is about a cat and its owners. I liked it because I like books about cats. At some points, it was kind of sad, but it was also happy and funny. I liked the character of Socks and the baby best. I would recommend this book for people who like animals especially tweens.
Mom - Today I am recommending The Somerset Ball by Mikel D.S. Smith. This is more then a book reminiscing about a championship sports season.  This a book that paints a picture of a different time. A time when sports were different and the worlds was different. If you like a book that vividly brings to life a period in time, you will enjoy this book. Of course, this is still a book about sports as well. However, it is about more than just baseball. It talks about football and basketball and other sports. If you like a book that gives blow by blow descriptions of games from the past, you will enjoy this book. If you like to read about sports and/or history, you should enjoy this book.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
