The New York Mets and Major League Baseball Advanced Media are kicking off the 2016 season with the Mets Amazin’ Auction available to all at Mets.com/AmazinAuction. The online auction begins today and ends on Friday, April 8 at 8:20 p.m.

The Amazin’ Auction gives fans and supporters the chance to bid on a wide range of unique Mets memorabilia, including a home plate signed by the 2015 National League Champions and once-in-a-lifetime experiences like eating lunch with General Manager Sandy Alderson in his Executive Office or taking batting practice with Mets pitchers.

This online auction also gives participants a chance to win incredible dining opportunities at award winning New York City restaurants, including a dinner for four at Bowery Meat Company with Executive Chef Josh Capon’s special tasting menu and wine pairings, as well as dinner for four at Tribeca Grill with an autographed cookbook signed by Robert De Niro and Drew Nieporent.

The Amazin’ Auction supports the annual Mets Welcome Home Dinner presented by Alliance Business Services, benefiting the Katz Institute for Women’s Health, a member of Northwell Health and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

CELEBRATES OVER 800 STANDBYS, UNDERSTUDIES AND ALTERNATES!!!

Musicals Tonight! continues its ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudies and Alternates with its next edition of  AT THIS PERFORMANCE…™ to be held on Monday, March 28th  at The Lion Theatre, 410 West 42nd Street at 7 PM.  On this evening, a milestone is reached over 800 different performers will have participated in the series to date.

Hosted by series Producing Artistic Director and Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, the popular series allows performers to showcase their versatility and share anecdotes about their experiences. Performers scheduled for Monday March 28th are Michael C. Bernardi (Understudy for the role of Tevye in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof), Carrie Compere (Understudy for the role of Sofia in the Broadway revival of The Color Purple), J. Michael Finley (Understudy for the role of Jean Valjean in the Broadway revival of Les Miserables), Alyssa Fox  (Standby for the role of Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked), Tessa Grady (Standby for the roles of Joan and Ruby in the Broadway production of Dames at Sea), Rodney Ingram (Understudy for the role of Aladdin in the Broadway production of Aladdin), Bre Jackson (Understudy for the role of Celie in the Broadway revival of Hamilton), Merritt David Janes (Understudy for the role of Dewey Finn in the Broadway production of School of Rock-The Musical), Andrew Kober (Understudy for the roles of Georg Nowack and Ladislav Sipos in the Broadway revival of She Loves Me), Omar Lopez-Cepero (Understudy for the role of Emilio Estefan in the Broadway production of On Your Feet!), Michael Minarik (Understudy for the roles of Miss Trunchbull and Mr. Wormwood in the Broadway production of Matilda The Musical), Manna Nichols(Understudy for the role of Kei Kimura and  Hannah Campbell in the Broadway production of Allegiance), Presley Ryan (Standby for the role of Small Alison, John and Christian in the Broadway production of Fun Home) and Paul Slade Smith (Understudy for the roles of Charles Frohman and  Captain James Hook  in the Broadway production of Finding Neverland). At This Performance… debuted in October 2003 and to date has showcased the talents of 791 Standbys, Understudies and Alternates who have covered 3600 roles in 426 Broadway and Off-Broadway productions

“BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL”
ANNOUNCES NEW DIGITAL LOTTERY TICKET POLICY

Beautiful—The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, launched a new digital lottery ticket policy on March 22. A limited number of tickets will are available for $39.00 the day of the performance via the digital lottery, powered by Broadway Direct.

Full lottery details are as follows: 

A limited number of tickets will be available for all Tuesday – Friday performances through this new digital lottery, which will open at 8:00AM daily for both matinee and evening performances, and will remain open until 10:30AM and 3:00PM, respectively, when the winners will be drawn. Winners will be notified by email shortly after each drawing, and will have 60 minutes to pay for their tickets with a credit card online. Tickets will be $39 each, including the facility fee.  For the week of March 22 only, entries will also be accepted for both performances on Saturday, March 26 and the matinee on Sunday, March 27.

Beth Behrs, the star of CBS’s “2 Broke Girls,” will lead the cast of the world premiere of Halley Feiffer’s comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York City.  Behrs will be joined by Obie winner Lisa Emery, most recently seen on the hit Netflix drama “Jessica Jones,” as well as stage veteran Jacqueline Sydney.  Additional casting will be announced at a later date.  Obie winner Trip Cullman directs the production which begins previews on May 19, 2016 ahead of a June 7, 2016 opening night.  Tickets are now on sale at http://www.mcctheater.org/.

In A Funny Thing Happened…, a foul-mouthed twenty-something comedian and a middle-aged man embroiled in a nasty divorce are brought together unexpectedly when their cancer-stricken mothers become roommates in the hospital.
