Behind the Magic: Backstage Disney Tour and Aladdin the Musical

Me- Behind the Magic: Backstage Disney Tour, wow! It was so much fun! The first part they told us about the history of the New Amsterdam theater. It was really interesting to me and my Mom and Dad. Aurella was bored though. Then, we got to go into this room where they had a bunch of props and stuff from Disney shows. Most of the shows are not currently running, but they did have stuff from The Lion King. They also had things from Mary Poppins, Aida, Beauty and the Best, The Little Mermaid, Tarzan and Newsies. Some of the things they had were: Some of Mary's costumes from Mary Poppins, A lot of props from Aida, the boot that the beast wore in Beauty and the Beast and also the rose from Beauty and the Beast, the bathtub from The Little Mermaid, a model of one of the sets from Tarzan, and chairs and a stack of newspapers from Newsies. They only didn't have anything from Aladdin which is the show currently playing at that theater. For more about Aladdin see below. It was so cool being able to see everything up close and even being able to touch it all. It was a really great experience that everyone would want to have if/and when they ever have the opportunity.

Me - Aladdin, wow! This was a really really good show. Everything was good about it; the acting, the singing the dancing. My favorite character was the Genie. James Monroe Iglehart, who plays him, is so talented. He is the highlight of the show. I love when he sings Friend Like Me. The other actors are good too. Jasmine was really pretty. I really liked the song A Whole New World. I liked how Jasmine and Aladdin were flying around on the magic carpet while they sang the song. It was a cool special effect. They had a lot of cool special effects in the show. The only thing that I didn't like about the show was that Abu, the monkey was not in it. Otherwise, I liked it as much as the movie. This is a show that is definitely worth seeing!

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Funtivity Friday.
