Funtivity Friday - The Five Senses Guessing Game

Here is a fun way to explore each of the five senses with your child with a guessing game:
1) Sight: Put an object in a brown paper bag with only a little bit of it showing. See if your child can guess what the object is just by the little bit that they can see.
2) Hearing: Have your child  close their eyes. Make a sound for them. See if they can guess what is making the sound just by hearing it.
3) Touch: Have your child close their eyes and open their hands. Hand them an object. See if they can guess what the object is just by touch.
4) Smell: Have your child close their eyes. Put an object under their nose. See if they can guess what the item is just by smelling it.

5) Taste: Have your child close their eyes and open their mouth. Put a small bite of something or a small spoonful of something on their tongue. See if they can guess what it is just by taste.

This game can also be played by a group of children by having the children takes turns helping to pick objects to see, hear, touch, smell, and taste and being the one to guess what they are. It can even be played by older children and/or adults by choosing more difficult items for the person to see, hear, touch, smell or taste.

Enjoy!

Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
