The 'Sharks will return home for a seven-game homestand starting Tuesday, June 16th! Check out the theme nights on the schedule for the first weekend of summer!

Celebrate local teachers and educational professionals at Teacher Appreciation Night presented by NJEA on Friday June 19th at 7:05pm.Teachers and educational staff professionals will be recognized prior to the game, and can receive one (1) free 200-level ticket per person by bringing their NJEA card to the box office.  To reserve free 200-level tickets for educators prior to the game, contact Caitlin Graham at cgraham@riversharks.com or 856-583-0039 for additional information.

A special edition of Family Fun Day Sunday on June 21st at 1:35pm will feature Star Wars Day, as well as Jewish Heritage Day celebration and  a Father's Day BBQ.  Arrive when gates open at 12:35pm for pre-game player autographs and Star Wars character appearances. AT THE INAUGURAL HUDSON RIVER DANCE FESTIVAL

Ballet Hispanico, recognized as the nation's leading Latino dance organization since 1970, will 
perform in the first Hudson River Dance Festival at Hudson River Park on June 17 &; 18, 2015 at 6:30pm.

Hudson River Park, one of the nation's longest waterfront parks and an urban oasis for New Yorkers and visitors from every corner of the world, will host the first-ever Hudson River Dance Festival, presented this summer on the Pier 63 lawn in Hudson River Park. This free celebration of NYC's  premier dance culture is a rare and unique opportunity for diverse audiences to experience some of the city's most talented and acclaimed dancers and ground-breaking dance compositions and performances.
The same program will be featured each evening, with Ballet Hispanico, Paul Taylor Dance Company, and Parsons Dance sharing the bill. Each company has planned engaging and distinctive programs that spotlight the cultural wealth and stylistic innovation that makes New York the epicenter of the American dance scene. The repertoire is designed to delight a broad audience, from aficionados and dance enthusiasts, to families and new audiences alike. The Hudson River Dance Festival is sponsored and presented by SHS Foundation in association with The Joyce Theater, with funding from The GladyKrieble Delmas Foundation, and the Hudson River Park Trust.

PILATES CLASSES
beginning Tuesday, July 7, 2015

New York Theatre Ballet (NYTB) is pleased to announce its new Pilates classes, beginning Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at NYTB's home studio, located at St. Mark's Church-in-the-Bowery, 131 East 10th Street, 2nd Floor, New York City. Classes will be offered on both Tuesday evenings, from 7-8pm, and Thursday mornings, from 8:15-9:15am. Cost will be $15/class walk in, $60 per 5-class card.

Taught by Amanda Treiber, principal dancer with NYTB, this gentle Pilates class is designed to build strength, coordination, and flexibility while gaining the understanding of the muscles used and the technique of the exercises. Combining the ideas of basic ballet and STOTT Pilates allows for many modifications that are used throughout the class to accommodate the most beginner level to the most advanced. This class is especially good for all types of physically active people who are looking to balance out the body in a gentle constructive way.

New York, NY – Artistic Director Alex Kilgore announced today that Pulitzer Prize Winning Playwright Annie Baker was awarded the first residency of Accabonac House, a year-round interdisciplinary artists retreat dedicated to the memory of Lisa de Kooning, who grew up in the house, located in the heart of Historic Spring/East Hampton. Her father, the Abstract Expressionist Willem de Kooning, traded a painting for the house in 1961, which served as his first studio in Springs as well as a home for his only child, Lisa and her mother the illustrator, Joan Ward.  
Writers, actors, directors, musicians, dancers, artists, and filmmakers will meet at the house for the retreat to create and collaborate on new works for the stage and screen.  Board members include Rachael Horovitz, Marsha Norman, Annie Baker, Adam Rapp, Gina Gionfriddo, Neena Beber, Alex Kilgore Monica Bill Barnes, Laurie Beckelman, Paul Sparks, Annie Parisse, David Wilson Barnes, Gibby Haynes, Jim TozziIsabel de Kooning VilleneuveEmma de Kooning Villeneuve, and Lucy de Kooning Villeneuve.  
The mission of Accabonac House is to nurture the creative process by providing an opportunity for artists to work alone or collaboratively without interruption in a supportive environment. Accabonac House offers residencies to playwrights, actors, directors, musicians, filmmakers and artists to foster mutual inspiration across different disciplines and generate new work for stage and screen. Residencies are awarded by the advisory board, and all future residencies include room, board, and studio.
The retreat  began in May, and a special benefit will take place at Ashawagh Hall in East Hampton on July 21st and 22nd with art by Gibby HaynesJim Tozzi, and Dan Witz, music by Invisible Familiars, and a special performance by Monica Bill Barnes Company.
