I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Dames at Sea and Mad Libs Live

We were given free tickets to Dames at Sea for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Me - Dames at Sea was a great show. The story was good. It was actually about people who wanted to perform the show Dames at Sea. There were only six people in the show. The actors were all good. My favorite characters was Ruby. She came to the City to be a big star. The funniest part was when she lost her suitcase. One of the guys found it and brought it to her. She was happy because she said all of her possessions were in it, but when she opened it all she owned was a pair of tap shoes. I also liked when the character Mona was told that her name was spelled wrong on the marquee so she went to get a ladder to fix it herself. There was a lot of tap dancing in the show. The tap dancing was really amazing! They must have been really talented because they could tap dance in heels. I am learning to tap dance, but I am nowhere near as good as they are. I wish they had a souvenir program for me to buy at the show so I could take it home and look at pictures of the show again. Unfortunately, they didn't. Over all, it was a great show, and you should really see it while you still can because it ends in January.*

Me -Mad Libs Live, wow! Mad Libs Live was really funny. When the audience comes in they fill out pieces of paper with words for different parts of speech, such as, nouns, verbs, and adjectives. The words are collected  in buckets with other nouns or verbs or whatever. Then, when they get to a blank part of a song or whatever, they take a word out of the appropriate bucket and use that. So neither you nor the actors know what they are going to have to say. That makes it fun for everyone. When we went to the show at one point somebody had to say he was a smelly toilet. That was funny. The plot of the show is just okay. It is about a singing competition. Even though the storyline is not very original it works well with the Mad Libs. The songs in general were just okay, but the Mad Libs made them fun. The characters in the show were very cliche. There was the jock, the nerdy guy, the popular spoiled girl and the shy awkward girl. The actors who played them were very good in their parts. The show is definitely worth seeing not because it is a great show, but because it so funny. The best part about it is that you could see it a bunch of times, and it would always be different.

And that's Melia's view. Tune in tomorrow for Funtivity Friday and for a chance to win a family four (4) pack of tickets to Mad Libs Live in the Santa Claus is Coming to Town blog hop.
