I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Bowling

What: Bowling

Where: Various locations

Who: 4 and up

Our view:  Bowling used to be a relatively inexpensive activity. It is not so much that anymore. While there are often coupons or some kind of special deal available for most bowling alleys even then it is not necessarily the bargain that it once was . However, it is still a  fun activity that you can participate in with your friends or family. The nice thing about bowling is that just because you are bigger or older or taller or whatever doesn't necessary making you a better bowler. It just depends on your skill level and maybe sometimes for those of us who don't really know what we are doing a little bit of luck too. These days as with everything else bowling alleys are completely automated. It is nice not having to worry about keeping score. However, if you have paid for a certain amount of time, your lane will be shut-off at exactly that time even if you are in the middle of game unless you pay more to continue playing. All in all, while bowling is not the most active sport you can participate in, it is a good family activitiy because it is a good sport to participate in with people of different levels of athletic ability. For more information or to find a bowling alley near you visit http://www.amf.com/home or check your local yellow pages.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for more about bowling.
